ABOUT NINA TULIO
We do I begin? Let’s go back to 1996, where I began my career as a hair stylist. Did you know I was the first person to sign up for the Cosmetology course in my Vocational School? True story. After behind a hairstylist for a a few years, I quickly became a salon manager and then a district manager for a chain of 8 salons in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Impressed by my business acumen and talent for managing multiple salons, the chains' owners/mentors invited me to join them as part owner and manager of a chain of salons in West Palm Beach, Florida.
I was loving life! I managed 55 employees and had 8 direct reports. With my leadership, drive, and passion, I managed to take the chain to a 20% profit in the very first year for all eight stores. I spent several years heading up the organization. During this time I quickly learned from my mentors how to coach and manage team members, the importance of strong leadership within a salon, how to create and maintain a sustainable brand, how to attract and keep team members that support your salon culture, and most importantly, maintaining strong profit margins in a service based salon business.
I love people and serving others, especially in my community. I was so fortunate to sit on the board of the Women's Business Council for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce for the 3 Years, and was also the VP of the programming committee. Amongst hosting events to benefit local non profits, I utilized my platform as a business owner as a way to give back to my community.
FunFacts! I was recognized in the Lehigh Valley with the Ambassador of the Year Award in 2015 by the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, 40 Under 40 by Lehigh Valley Business, 2016 Business of the Year Corporate Citizen of the Year Finalist, and Woman of Style 2016 by Lehigh Valley Style Magazine.
Creating a Successful Salon
In 2006, I went to work on my own dream. I moved back to PA from Florida and hit the ground running.
I founded a successful organic hair and beauty salon in Allentown, Pennsylvania. My salon was a boutique salon called Anthony Ashley and was purely focused on helping clients be their beautiful best. Over the years I grew my business from a 600 square foot salon into a beautiful 1,600 square foot full service salon with several full-time talented, educated, and passionate team members. I truly hustled year over year and was able to drive 20 - 30% growth within my salon in consecutive years. My stylists had also shown significant, consistent annual growth.
In October of 2016, After 20 years as a hairstylist, I decided to sell my salon after 11 successful years in business. "It was well thought out and it was time! I knew my passion for growing people on a much larger scale was engrained in my soul. It is extremely important to me to share my experience, knowledge, my success, and my mistakes, with other salon owners and stylists just like you! More importantly it is my passion to inspire and encourage others to grow not only professionally, but personally."
I am proud to share that 1N Agency has now been in business for 2 and a half years. It all started out in 2017 when my husband and I out moved to Connecticut and lived there for 2 years. We most recently moved to Los Angeles, and we are loving every minute of it.
In the past 2 and a half years, I have had the honor and pleasure working with hundreds of salon owners and stylists throughout my various platforms.

On a personal note… I was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pa. Yes it is called the Christmas City. I am a trained dancer and have been dancing since I was a child. Trained in ballet and pointe and also in latin ballroom, it truly is my jam. I live for NEW music and you can catch all my dancing videos on Instagram!
